The Geoprocessing Wizard was removed with the release of 9.0. Now all those tools are located in ArcToolbox or on the Editor Toolbar. The quickest way for you to merge the shapefiles, assuming they have the same attribute fields, is to use the simple data loader in ArcCatalog.

Hi Geocommunity Listers, Please can anyone tell me how I can go about merging multiple shape files into a single shape file in ArcGIS 9? I need to merge different shapefiles to be used as reference data for a geocoding exercise. I thought I could use the Geoprocessing tool as in Arcview but I can't seem to find the tool in ArcGIS or get a straight forward clue about what to do. Or is there a way to convert an ESRI ArcMap document file back into a shape file or save it as a shape file? Thanks in advance for your answers. Segun Ibigbemi
