Hands-on geostatistics "Merging GIS and Spatial Statistics" is an intensive
5-days training course with balanced combination of theoretical and
practical training. The course is organized under auspices of the Commission
1.5 Pedometrics of the International Union of Soil Sciences, University of
Napoli (SISS, SIPE), and the Institute for Environment (Joint Research
Centre). It is open for professionals interested in spatial interpolation
and analysis of environmental variables. We especially encourage Master and
PhD level students and PostDoc researchers working in various fields of
environmental and geo-sciences. The training course is limited to 30
participants. The deadline to register for the course is 10 December 2006.
The final list of participants will be selected based on (1) academic
excellence, (2) research topic and (3) early registration.
