If this is a table join in ArcGIS, you can save the join by exporting the joined table to a new file. This will create either a new table or Feature class with the attributes of both.

Hi, Can anybody suggest a way to keep a Join in a table permanently, or to add populated fields of a new table to the attribute table of a shapefile? Also, how do you change the properties of the fields in an attribute table..eg changing from text to numeric? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
