Hi, Just save a joined table as new shp file (in ArcMap right click on layer > data > export data). In ArcGIS you cannot change type attribute for a field, you have to create new field and recalculate data to new field. Cheers, Michael

Also, how do you change the properties of the fields in an attribute table..eg changing from text to numeric? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks!
