We too have upgraded and been generally happy. I found one new bug this morning while teaching a class. When you try to create an Address Locator using a Shapefile, it errors and closes ArcCatalog without creating the locator. Using a GDB works fine. We have also seen the whiteline issue with aerials. A work around we have found is to slightly rotate the view. Not the best option but it works.

Overall we are pleased with the upgrade. However, there are some bugs.
Two of the problems (bugs) we have experienced with 9.2 concern the graphics in the Layout View.
We have an entire set of tiff images for one Florida County that we have used extensively with previous versions with no real problems. Now, at certain scales (1:200) in ver 9.2 the "white edges" of each aerial appear in Layout View. Although the white lines do not print out when the Map is printed directly from ArcMap, they have appeared in images that were exported from ArcMap (i.e. PDF and TIF) and these white lines do print out. And yes, we have the most recent video driver installed
Another issues concerns changing printers/page sizes in Layout View. Rather than correctly 'Scaling Map Elements proportionally to changes in Page Size' in the Page and Print Setup, when we change Page Size (i.e. change printers/plotter along with page size) the map Elements will scale to a size much larger than the paper size. We did not have this problem with previous versions.
The other bug that has been in all the versions since 8.0 is the (intermittent) problem in Layout View with the Text and Borders. To the eye the text may appear set the correct distance from a border (i.e. Legend Border). However, it may print out with some text outside the border. I would like to see this bug fixed.
All this having been said, the new version has some welcome improvements. Too bad, one mayor one, the creation of cartographic representations, was not included with the basic ArcView License.

I upgraded the other day. I haven't had any major problems or come across any major bugs. It saves to a new version of mxd's, but you can save back to 9.0/9.1. The geodatabases are a new version too. You can keep your 9.1 geodatabases as 9.1 or upgrade them, but you can't go back again. I've had problems with batch project, and I'm not sure what's causing it. Although, now you can right click on any tool in the toolbox to get batch functionality. I like that you can now zoom in and out with the scroll wheel, and you can use the scroll wheel in the VBA editor. I also did the tutorial on Representations. That looks like it will be pretty useful, clearly they are trying to add some of the functionality of a graphics package like Illustrator.
If you do any programming, they've added some handy templates that work with Visual Basic 2005 Express Edition (installed separately). But some of the .net assemblies seem to have changed, so you'll need to go back through your code to get the programs to work with the latest version, and I suspect that 9.2 customizations will not be backwards compatible.
Just what I've come across so far, David

Larry,
We've upgraded. It was about average as far as time spent uninstalling old versions and then installing new versions. That takes about an hour. After installing 9.2, some of us had real performance issues. Defragmenting the hard drive helped that issue. One of my scripts seems to have ceased to work since the upgrade. We also upgraded to the new File Geodatabase. We have not seen any improvements over the personal GeoDatabase. If anything, it is slower. I'd like to know of others' experience with the File Geodatabase.
