Here is an a list of different land use/land cover codes. These should
match up to the ones you downloaded. I don't know anything about
geocommunity's download set, but you can get a 2001 (which might be more
current than geocommunity's version) landcover dataset here:

I have just downloaded data of land use/cover from geocommunity,i was
able to view the data set with ArcGIS 9.1,the problem i have now is
distinguishing the various land use/cover types from the attibute table
using the I.D's .
Any effort(s) will be appreciated.
