Hello all GIS listers -
I have a problem that I hope you could help me with.
I currently have a standalone version of ArcView 9.2 installed on my PC with no extensions. My company also has a number of concurrent licenses of ArcView (currently, all are v 9.1) as well as a few concurrent licenses of Spatial Analyst installed on a server. In order to access Spatial Analyst, I understand I'll need to use one of the concurrent licenses of ArcView and Spatial Analyst.
However, through the Desktop Administrator I am unable to switch from the Standalone version of ArcView to the concurrent version. The 'Software Product' dropdown list is grayed out in the 'Availability' folder. Could this have something to do with the different versions?
Does anybody know why this is happening? Isn't it even possible to use a floating license of ArcView even though I have a standalone license installed on my PC? I thought it was but now I'm starting to second guess myself.
Do I have to register the concurrent version of ArcView on my PC as well? If so, will that affect the standalone version at all? Can I install both licenses?
Thank you all in advance, Todd _______________________________________________ gislist mailing list gislist@lists.geocomm.com http://lists.geocomm.com/mailman/listinfo/gislist
