Subject: Re: [gislist] ArcMap Layouts?

From:  Marcus Brast

I don't know of a way to do it from within the program itself. That
being said, there is a neat add-on you can purchase from Maplogic called
Layout Manager that will let you do that and much more. I've found it
to be very helpful.

Subject: [gislist] ArcMap Layouts?

Hi Listers,

Is there a way to create multiple layouts using just one ArcMap
document? In other words, I would like to create a single master layout
view, and then, additionally have several more layouts (i.e. Layout2,
Layout3, Layout4, etc...) displaying "zoomed-view" enlargements from the
master view/layout: within the same ArcMap document (.MXD).

Any ideas? This seems like it should be a no-brainer option. This way,
if you have dozens of map layouts, and you make an edit/change to the
master view, you would have the option of automatically updating all of
the associated layouts. I know there are CAD applications that already
have this functionality.

Thanks,

Travis
