Dear GIS List,
I have a set of raster images that I am told are GeoTIFF's, however they
do not show up correctly when I load them into ArcMap or ArcCatalogue.
The question I have is can ArcMap read and use a GeoTIFF (the ESRI
documentation says it can read the "tags")? And if so, then what
problem am I having since I can not bring my images in? Also, just out
of curiosity, what is the difference in the naming conventions, if any,
between a TIF image with a world file and a GeoTIFF? Any help would be
greatly appreciated.
