Subject: [gislist] Job opening: Director of Baltimore City Data Collaborative
Date:  01/12/2007 09:10:00 AM
From:  Mara Kaminowitz

Note: This is a management position with a heavy component of
statistics, data management, and creation of reports from these things.
There will be little to no GIS practice involved but you will be
supervising GIS staff, and be responsible for data acquisition and
strategic planning for a growing GIS/stats non-profit.

I will be happy to give you the inside track on the job and pass on your
resume. However, please note than I am not the hiring authority and
cannot discuss things like salary, applicant status, etc. Those should
go through the contact listed in the advertisement.

Feel free to spread this announcement far and wide.

Mara Kaminowitz

accurate, reliable, and compelling data on their well-being, seeks a
Director to lead data collection, mapping, and analysis activities: and
shape the future of the Collaborative as it enters its 10th year.

The Director sets the strategic direction of the Data Collaborative,
works to establish and sustain connections with public and private data

skills. The candidate will be the public face for the Data
Collaborative, so must be comfortable meeting new people and speaking in
public. Advanced Degree in Policy Analysis, Public Health, Information
Science, or a related field required. The Baltimore City Data
Collaborative is a joint project of the Family League of Baltimore City
and the Safe and Sound Campaign, both of which value diversity and
