Note: This is a management position with a heavy component of statistics, data management, and creation of reports from these things. There will be little to no GIS practice involved but you will be supervising GIS staff, and be responsible for data acquisition and strategic planning for a growing GIS/stats non-profit.

Director of Baltimore City Data Collaborative
The Baltimore City Data Collaborative, which advances improvements in the lives of children and families in Baltimore City by providing accurate, reliable, and compelling data on their well-being, seeks a Director to lead data collection, mapping, and analysis activities: and shape the future of the Collaborative as it enters its 10th year.
The Director sets the strategic direction of the Data Collaborative, works to establish and sustain connections with public and private data providers and/or researchers, acquires pertinent data sets, and conducts data analysis that assists in program and funding decisions for children and their families in Baltimore City. In so doing, the Director is also responsible for developing data reports, presentations, and publications for selected indicators and geographic areas with current data.
This position is the point of access for project requests. Projects are requested on a daily basis and need to be prioritized and processed in a timely fashion. This position is responsible for quality assurance of the data and data products (reports, maps, etc.) This position supervises one GIS Analyst.
The successful candidate will be dedicated to improving the lives of Baltimore's children and families, and must be proficient in Access, Excel, and Power Point. Experience with ArcMap and SPSS are also expected. The successful candidate will also be able to handle multiple priorities, work well under pressure and have superior organization skills. The candidate will be the public face for the Data Collaborative, so must be comfortable meeting new people and speaking in public. Advanced Degree in Policy Analysis, Public Health, Information Science, or a related field required.
