Subject: Re: [gislist] ESRI Image to Autodesk?
Date:  01/19/2007 07:10:00 AM
From:  Gary Andersen

AutoCAD with Raster Design has had problems reading some tiff formats
since version 2005. If all else fails, reboot and open AutoCAD up first.
It should recognize the tiff files. There is a good chance you will
experince problems if you open up ArcView first and then AutoCAD. Once
you handle the tiffs in ArcView Map you may have problems with AutoCAD
recognizing the same files.

I had AutoCAD versions 2004 and 2006 open at the same time. V2004
recognized a group pf tiffs and V2006 did not. I sent the screen shots
to AutoDesk. That was at least 2 years ago. The problem remains in V2007
if you open up ArcView first.

Travis,

I don't understand if you are trying to ask if Autodesk 2007 read the
geotiff (.tif/tfw) from ArcView9.1, like any other CAD software,
Offcourse
it does read there is no doubt in that, as i have been doing this..

Please try.

Regards,
Selvan..
