You can import a geotiff into autocad 2007 using Autocad map 3d, or map bundled with land desktop or civil 3d. It's under map --> image --> insert. This will bring it in the right spot. Make sure the drawing units match the units of the image (ie, feet and feet). There is an raster enable patch that you might have to download from http://usa.autodesk.com/adsk/servlet/ps/dl/item?siteID=123112&id=7176069 &linkID=4199154. If you only have just base autocad, you will have to bring in the geotif like a regular image, then use the world file to scale and rotate the image. Also, I've had better luck using jpg's as far as speed goes.
Hope that helps, David

Hi Listers,
Does anyone out there know if Autodesk 2007 can import GeoTiffs? I've exported several GeoTiffs from ArcView 9.1, which our CAD folks have been unable to import/read. However, they've been able to easily read .tif/.tfw.
Does Autodesk only read .tif/.tfw format?
Is it possible to export .tif/.tfw from ArcView 9.1?
Thanks,
Travis
