Subject: Re: [gislist] Catalog crashes when opening an MS Access db table in Catalog
Date:  01/24/2007 03:35:00 PM
From:  Solomon Pulapkura

Im using ArcInfo 9.1. To use the add XY tool I need to first add the table
in ArcMap right?. Its not even allowing me to do this. ArcMap comes up with
an error saying 'Microsoft Jet database engine cannot find the input table'.
The way I created these tables is actually import .xls files into MS Access.
I wonder if that has something to do with it. When exporting as dbf many
fields get truncated and dont get included in the export so I want to stay
away from dbf's.
