The solution will depend on the software you have available. But the first =
thing you want to make sure is that each shapefile has a prj file associate=
d with it. If you are using ArcGIS you might want to look at the Spatial Ad=
just Toolbar. It has several functions that might be helpful in this situat=
ion. =

I have an alignment problem with two shapefiles of Egypt, nationwide. The b=
ad one (it doesn't match with the right coordinates) of the two has =
the following coordinates system:
Projected Coordinate System: UTM
Projection: Transverse_Mercator
False_Easting: 500000.00000000
False_Northing: 0.00000000
Central_Meridian: 33.00000000
Scale_Factor: 0.99960000
Latitude_Of_Origin: 0.00000000
Linear Unit: Meter
Geographic Coordinate System: GCS_Egypt_1907
Datum: D_Egypt_1907
Prime Meridian: 0
Angular Unit: Degree
The good one is in WGS84 UTM zone 35N.
I tried any type of transformation, but they don't match.
Any suggestion?
