thats true! i once lost a really important file but i could recover it
from the server administrator's backups. they usually have the last
version for a week. talk to the server administrator ASAP.

Not unless it was on a server that saves past versions or deleted files.
I know Windows Server 2003 and Novell have that capability. You most
likely need to see your IT folks to help you recover your file.

Subject: [gislist] Undo Delete

Hello,

Sorry for asking a ESRI question, but I need immediate help. I
accidentally deleted a shapefile using ArcCatalog and want to know if
there is anyway to get it back. I looked in the Windows "Recycle Bin",
but did not see it.

Thanks!
