I want to reproject an image of the world (NASA Blue Marble image) from
Plate Carree to a customized North Pole Azimuthal Equidistant projection. I
have tried various tools in ArcGIS 9.2 and have not gotten it to work (I get
strange, distorted results). I realize this is an unusual thing to do, as
it involves a dramatic image transformation, but I'm trying to create an
unusual map. Can ArcGIS do this? I have tried georeferencing and the
Project Raster tool. Thanks for any advice.
