When we project data from various state plane coordinate systems to
geographic coordinates, ArcView asks to select one of the following five
transformations between NAD83 to WGS84.
NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_1
NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_2
NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_3
NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_4
NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_5
The first one, NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_1, assumes exact match between NAD83
to WGS84. Comparing the result between NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_1 and
NAD_1983_To_WGS_1984_5, I can see about 2 feet offset in San Francisco.
Are there any definitive transformation guidelines?
