In previous projects I've used VBA to access a SQL Server DB to grab sample=
locations and create a custom layer (point file geometry) into a ArcMap De=
sktop MXD.

I am now attempting to perform the same process in C# .NET.
=
Most of the references to this query online has returned generic - to detai=
led - samples for custom layers for web applications.
=
As I have only been involved with the C# language and .NET framework for ab=
out 1 =BD weeks now, this seems to be a daunting task.
=
Can someone please offer any references to C# samples or code snippets (spe=
cifically for the ArcMap 9.2 Desktop Application) for creating a custom poi=
nt layer derived from a database table?
