Subject: Re: [gislist] Add Lat and Log of points to layout view
Date:  09/04/2007 02:55:00 AM
From:  Mark de Blois

Hi Louise,

Can you be more specific? Are you using ArcGIS or a different GIS
solution?! And do you already have columns with the lat long coordinates?

Assuming you may be using ArcGIS and do not have the lat long
coordinates, you could add these as 2 separate columns in your table by
adding a Field from the Attribute Table window. If you are using version
9.2 there is a new feature called something like calculate geometry if
you right click on the newly added field. With prior versions of ArcGIS
you may have to use a little script which you can freely download off
the web (e.g. as part of EasyCalculate).

Double labels is something which you can achieve in ArcMap if you use
label classes with different positioning. Otherwise you can also
generate annotation classes for more flexibility.

Hope this is of help.

cheers,
Mark
