I'd like to weigh in on:

Like others who don't use ESRI, I find 99% of the postings completely borring ArcGIS tech support questions. Why Arc users don't go to an ArcGIS discussion lists, or to ESRI themselves to solve their problems amazes me.
My software company does an excellent job of answering darn near all the inane tech questions that keep popping up here, and there is a discussion forum for usere to discuss software specific techie problems. I don't need to come to this list for a software answer, nor do I think this list should be a forum for tech support. There are too many other exciting things going on in the GIS world that merit discussion. Another words, I'd love to see all the ESRI tech support blah, blah, blah, go to a specific ESRI tech support site, or to ESRI themselves. That's why they charge you for tech support!
Anyway, this list is boring bacause it has turned into an ArcGIS tech problem site. If anyone feels differently, just go out and review the last 200 or so postings...I guarantee they ask about how do you label something in ArcGIS, etc. Result: Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...
