Hi, Just two cents from me too. Geocomm GIS List has been a really useful resource for GIS Users worldwide. It is all because of its intended participants. You would find spaming at any forum for any subject but there are ways to filter out or discard spamming messages.
Being the subscriber of this list and not to loose its charm because of its valueable audience I would take this opportunity if we can get some useful inputs from all around this list users.
How about the segmentation of the list messages based on its interest? Can we go for some thing like 'GIS Core' and 'GIS Software' related groups.
Any other suggestions ???
Thanks, Ishfaq

This is pretty much why I opened this thread - To discuss issues such as this and get a general consensus of how others feel and perhaps define the list a little better.
That being said, if someone isn't interested in anything a list has to offer, I'd recommend just unsubscribing. There's no reason to be subscribed to a list and receive email that you has no interest in reading.
