You've missed the point. There ARE other lists that are ESRI-specific.
If someone wants to post product-specific questions (ESRI or whatever)they
should at least indicate this in the subject heading, then other people don't
have to waste time reading the content to find out it's something they are not
interested in.
Making ALL subject headings more descriptive would also be a good idea, but
unfortunately most people don't do this.
