We Have a Plan!

Something else we've been testing - the signage for the Planetarium.  It looks like we have a "Plan" but don't worry - we will have the full Planetarium soon.

Collecting Darters

In late September, Marc Kibbey (Associate Curator of the Fish Collection at OSU) and I went in search of more darters for our exhibit in Lily Pad. We used a net underneath the Dodridge Bridge, and had Jenna (my current Living Collections Assistant) walk upstream to stir up the bottom where the darters like to hide. The current of the river carried the darters along with other species into our net. Aside from collecting some more rainbow and greenside darters, we were also able to collect some bluebreast darters to add to our collection.

We Have Light!

The cove lights are being installed in the planetarium. Bowen Technovation's Jon Craig and Matt Rosenfeld are installing the lights all around the springline (bottom) of the dome.
