Recap From Big Bang Lecture on 2/23

On Sunday, February 23, COSI hosted "Big Bang Science Day" at COSI with Dr. John Beacom and OSU's Center of Cosmology and Astro Particle Physics (CCAPP) and their guest lecturer, Dr. Lloyd Knox, from the University of California, Davis. 143 people attended the lecture, and additional COSI guests joined researchers in the atrium for a Science Day discussion on astronomy, cosmology, and physics.

Dr. Knox spoke about confirmed truths and remaining mysteries regarding the origin of the Universe, explaining how scientists explore questions about the Universe. "The interdisciplinary research in CCAPP joins astronomy with physics, and theory and computation with experiment and observation, pushing the frontiers of knowledge focusing on answering questions such as 'What is the Universe made of?' and 'How did it evolve?'"
