Update from Technology and Innovation

On Thursday, Feb. 20th I attended the Technical Review of our local Lemelson-MIT InvenTeam Program participants, DeSales High School. The Lemelson-MIT InvenTeams Program provides grants to high school teams each year so they can invent technical solutions to real-world problems. DeSales took on this challenge by inventing an automatic page-turning device for someone at the Heinzerling Foundation. They are working with project advisors and community supporters to develop the product, with direct input from their client. I was so impressed with the work of these young entrepreneurs and can't wait to see the final product! Check out their blog - http://desales-inventeam.blogspot.com/.
