Revit Technology Corporation Receives Innovation Award
From Computer Graphics World
WALTHAM, Mass., Dec. 7, 2000--
Parametric Building Modeler Selected From Hundreds of Nominations As Leading Visual Computing
Software Product
Revit Technology Corporation (www.revit.com), creator of Revit(TM), the first parametric building
modeler for architects and building design professionals, was presented with a Computer Graphics
World Year 2000 Innovation Award, announced in the publication's December 2000 issue. The
editorial staff at Computer Graphics World selected Revit 2.1 for extending the boundaries of visual
computing applications for the AEC industry.
"Innovation Awards are bestowed on products that advance the state-of-the-art of computer
graphics technology. As such, Revit gives a distinct competitive advantage to the architects and
engineers who use the software in their daily work," said Phil LoPiccolo, editor-in-chief of Computer
Graphics World, a PennWell publication.
"Revit's powerful modeling technology continues to catch the attention of the industry's most
respected voices," said David Lemont, CEO of Revit Technology Corporation. "We're honored to
accept this award from Computer Graphics World, and pledge to continue developing and delivering
easy-to-use software that works the way architects and engineers want to work."
Revit's integrated parametric building modeler is the first software solution that allows architects and
building professionals to work in purely architectural terms, while laying the foundation for model-based
collaboration and procurement in the AEC industry. Revit is the only system on the market that allows
AEC professionals to make changes anytime, anywhere in the design process. Its context-driven
parametric change engine ensures complete consistency of all drawings and schedules in the project -
enabling the architect to concentrate fully on the design intent. Ultimately, Revit empowers architects and
designers to explore multiple design options and deliver higher quality designs in a fraction of the time
required using other CAD products. The software system may be downloaded from the Company's
Web site, www.revit.com, or installed from a CD-ROM available direct from the Company.
