Rhode Island Department of Transportation Selects PlanGraphics for Document Management System Implementation Project

FRANKFORT, Ky.- PlanGraphics, Inc., a provider of professional spatial information technology services, has contracted with the Rhode Island Department of Transportation (RIDOT) to implement their Plan Library and Numbering System (PLANS), a spatially enabled engineering records document management system. The contract, valued at over $970,000, was awarded through a recent competitive process. The PlanGraphics team will be providing project management, GIS integration strategy, scanning and indexing services, quality control, training, and Oracle database design services, all on-site at RIDOT’s offices in Providence, R.I. PlanGraphics Senior Analyst Marina Havan-Orumieh will be managing the project.

“We are excited about the opportunity to work for RIDOT,” says PlanGraphics Eastern Region Vice President, Richard Goodden. “This project builds upon our previous document management project success with clients such as the City of Columbus, Ohio. The award also strengthens our commitment to provide clients with total life-cycle solutions and further enhances our presence in the Northeastern United States.” PlanGraphics, Inc., is a systems integration and implementation company that provides a broad range of services in the design and implementation of spatial information technology-geographic information systems (GIS), document management systems, automated mapping/facilities management (AM/FM) systems, land information systems (LIS), and related information technology (IT) applications. PlanGraphics’ headquarters are in Frankfort, Ky.; regional offices are in Maryland, Colorado, California, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, and Arizona.
