interactive travel services Web site using BroadVision. Rand McNally is
developing this comprehensive trip planning site to assist travelers in
planning for and traveling to their destinations.
Using the BroadVision One-To-One(TM) platform, randmcnally.com will
provide each customer with a simple but highly personalized way to plan and
navigate driving trips, view a host of travel planning features, receive
enhanced door-to-door driving directions, access an enhanced online Map
& Travel Store, download high-quality color maps, and many other services.
Many of the planned upgrades are enhancements to services and features
currently available on randmcnally.com.
The BroadVision technology will link the Web site with randmcnally.com's
customer database and will increase the company's ability to create customized
content and product offerings and integrate information in several forms. The
technology will enable randmcnally.com to present custom information,
including destination information, offers and promotions that are all based on
user preferences. In addition, the technology will provide security for users
to gather information and purchase travel products and services on the Web.
