Leica Geosystems announces the TPS1100plus Total Station
The TPS1100plus heralds an expansion of the TPS1100 Professional Series, this powerful, tried-and-proven range of total stations. The TPS1100plus includes new motorized versions of the TCA, TCRA and TCRM models of the TPS1100 Professional Series. The hardware of the TPS1100plus instruments has been optimized for a generally higher measuring performance and for improved manual targeting. The instruments use the new TPS1100 software version V2.0, which appreciably reduces the time needed for measuring and positioning.

Improved system performance

The new TPS1100plus instruments with Version 2.0 software have an overall improved performance. In the LOCK- (target-tracking) and RCS- (remote-control) mode, the time needed for a measurement with storage of the data (ALL) has been reduced by up to 75% compared with that attainable in TPS1100 instruments equipped with the earlier software version. And the TPS1100plus needs 25% less time to position on fixed targets than did the earlier TPS1100 instruments. This faster positioning is particularly useful during stakeouts or during applications involving free stationing where the instrument automatically aligns itself to predefined target points. The performance of the TPS1100plus instruments is also appreciably better with regard to distance tracking. In Stop&Go mode, or in the dynamic measuring mode, the distances are regularly updated three or four times a second.

Improved fine pointing

A further plus in the performance of the new TPS1100plus total stations is the improved manual fine pointing. The drives of the instrument are extremely smooth and stable, permitting rapid and accurate manual pointing.

Electronic guide light as standard

All of the new automated TPS1100plus total stations are routinely equipped with the EGL electronic guide light, which speeds up stakeouts and makes it easier to align the instrument with the reflector.
