3Di Names President and COO
EASTON, MD (November 9, 2000) - 3Di, a Maryland-based privately-held
international spatial data provider, announced today the naming of Kevin J.
Reardon as its President and Chief Operating Officer. Dr. Reardon is
responsible for all aspects of 3Di's operational management.
A former U.S. Navy Submarine Captain, Reardon entered the private sector
with leadership roles in companies like Lockheed Martin and Northrop
Grumman, where he directed technology strategies, business development,
operations management and strategic planning. His operational experience
includes spatial data management for military command and control systems.
"Kevin is a great addition to our team," said Monty Deel, CEO of 3Di. "He
is a proven leader with outstanding experience in managing operations and
technology. Kevin has what it takes to move 3Di through the next level of
growth."
Reardon, from Vienna, Virginia, is a 1968 graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy
with a degree in Physics. His 27-year naval career was highlighted by four
years serving as captain of two nuclear submarines. With a fellowship
award, he attended Stanford University, where he earned his Masters in
Statistics and a Ph.D. in Engineering (Operations Research). He also
completed an Executive Management program at Harvard University. He and his
family will be relocating to Easton, Maryland.
