PlanGraphics Enters into Agreements with Chinese Spatial Information Services Firm

FRANKFORT, Ky.-Spatial information technology integrator PlanGraphics, Inc., announces that it has entered into a formal business partnership agreement and strategic relationship with the Sichuan Jinkecheng Geospatial Information Technologies Company of Chengdu, China. Sichuan Jinkecheng is one of a handful of professional spatial information services firms in China. The business partnership provides for joint business development in China and the utilization of China-sourced professional service resources in PlanGraphics projects worldwide.

Minna Li, PlanGraphics executive consultant and project manager for several China-based integration and advisory assignments, noted the importance of the Sichuan Jinkecheng relationship: “There is a tremendous opportunity for spatial information services in China, and the mix of our proprietary methodologies and the resources and talents of Sichuan Jinkecheng will position both firms for many national, provincial, and World Bank-funded projects in China. Their Western China location is equally important because of the attention the national government is placing on resource development and environmental controls, as well as infrastructure requirements in this relatively undeveloped area.”

John Antenucci, PlanGraphics President and CEO, added: “With billings of approximately $1 million in the past several years and the relationships we have formed by performing successfully, we see tremendous opportunity in China. We’ve laid a good foundation, and are pleased to add Sichuan Jinkecheng to a small list of exceptional Chinese business partners.”

PlanGraphics, Inc., is a systems integration and implementation company that provides a broad range of services in the design and implementation of spatial information technology-geographic information systems (GIS), automated mapping/facilities management (AM/FM) systems, land information systems (LIS), and related information technology (IT) applications. PlanGraphics’ headquarters are in Frankfort, Ky.; regional offices are in Maryland, Colorado, California, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, and Arizona.
