Inform Worldwide Joins Open GIS Consortium, Inc.

DENVER, Oct. 30, 2000--Inform Worldwide, Inc., (Inform) a syndicator of location technology and wholly owned subsidiary of Anything Internet Corporation (OTCBB:ANYI), announced today that it has joined the Open GIS Consortium Inc. (OGC).

Inform will work with the OGC to help develop geoprocessing specifications that enable the global deployment and delivery of interoperable location-based services. OGC is an international, not-for-profit organization founded in 1994 to develop industry standards for the integration of geoprocessing into the world's information infrastructures. "Interoperability will be essential to the development of commercially viable location-aware solutions," said Henry Tom, Inform's Vice President of Global Alliances. "We believe that our OGC membership reflects the commitment of Inform Worldwide to global standardization and interoperability of location-based services."

Mr. Tom serves as the Chair and U.S. Head of Delegation for the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) U.S. Technical Advisory Group (TAG) to the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) Technical Committee 211, Geographic information/Geomatics. He also serves on the Joint Steering Group on Spatial Standardization and Related Interoperability (JSG) and will represent Inform Worldwide in the Location Interoperability Forum (LIF) recently established by Motorola, Ericsson, and Nokia.

As a member of OGC, Inform will promote the integration of mobile and wireless technologies with various geo-processing technologies, to assist in defining parameters for interoperability of location-aware services. By working with the major IT developers and users represented by OGC, Inform hopes to accelerate the development and delivery of location-based services to the commercial and consumer markets.

"We welcome Inform and look forward to their participation and contributions in the OGC Specification and Interoperability Programs to develop interoperable specifications for location-based services," stated David Schell, OGC President.
