Dialogic Communications Corporation Launches Version 8.0 of The Communicator! High-Speed Notification System

FRANKLIN, Tenn., Sept. 11, 2000-- Latest Release Provides Greater Customization, Auditing and Management Capabilities for Delivering Time-Sensitive Communications

Dialogic Communications Corporation (DCC), a leading provider of interactive communications technology, today launched the latest release of its high-speed notification system, The Communicator!(TM), Version 8.0. This latest version is a direct result from DCC working closely with hands-on system users and user's group meetings throughout the year.
v The Communicator, Version 8.0 improves security and employs the latest communications platforms to make it easier than ever for business, industry and government operations to manage routine and emergency notifications. Enhanced features include:
  • Additional auto archiving capability to reduce liability exposure.
  • Support for satellite/worldwide text pagers.
  • Additional layers of security for limiting staff access to specific scenarios.
  • More user-defined answering machine choices to tailor messages specifically for each notification.
  • Scenario color-coding for quick and easy reference. (Blue for code blue, etc.)
  • Roster field color-coding for easier data administration. (Highlight comments, pictures, additional positions, etc.)
  • Updated "Find" feature for simple user input and automatic searches through roster.
  • Optional email interface for sending notifications and reports during and after call-out.

With The Communicator, organizations can automate call-out procedures for delivering messages to multiple recipients, regardless of complexity or size (from a single response unit to an entire community-at-risk). The system contacts individuals by phone, pager and cellular; delivers incident-specific information or instruction; confirms message receipt through touch-tone response; and prints/faxes comprehensive reports detailing results.

The Communicator's GIS interface, GeoNotify(TM), enables organizations to quickly and easily select a specific geographic area for message delivery and then prioritize the calls by distance (nearest or farthest first). And for real-time readiness, the system can process this mapping and database information at the rate of up to 18,000 names/phone numbers per minute, initiating first phone warnings within 60-90 seconds.
