Tetra Tech Expands EPA Water Programs With Over $14 Million in New Contracts

PASADENA, Calif., Mar 30, 2001 -- Tetra Tech, Inc. (NASDAQ: TTEK) announced today that it was awarded over $14 million in new contracts from the U.S. EPA Office of Water. These two contracts support development of water quality standards and pollution prevention strategies in the United States. Both contracts begin immediately.

Under a three-year, $7 million contract, Tetra Tech will support the EPA Office of Water to assess and manage risks associated with toxic bioaccumulation of contaminants in surface waters. Tetra Tech will provide a broad range of technical support, including EPA guidance support, scientific method development, and national assessment of the extent and severity of watershed contamination.

Additionally, under a five-year, $7.3 million contract, Tetra Tech will support the EPA Office of Water in making watershed assessments and Total Maximum Daily Load determinations throughout the country. Tetra Tech will develop GIS and computer modeling tools, provide training and workshops, and provide numerous other services under the contract.
