Tele Atlas strengthens Management
Board as the company grows

Ghent - 27th April - In a move that reflects the changing requirements of a
growing company in rapidly evolving markets, Tele Atlas, the world leader in
digital mapping, has strengthened its Management Board.
In addition to the existing Board members Alain De Taeye, Chief Executive
Officer, and Hans van Hoorn, Chief Financial Officer, three new members have
been appointed:
Peter van Es, appointed as Chief Commercial Officer, has been with Tele Atlas
from its inception in 1988. He will now be responsible for sales and marketing
activities worldwide.
Richard (Dick) Selmeier, Chief Operating Officer Tele Atlas North America, joined
the company shortly after the purchase of Etak in the US. Previously he was Vice
President Marketing and Business Development, CustomerLinx Corporation, an
interactive customer relationship management services provider.
Philiep De Sutter, appointed as Chief Technology Officer, has been with the
company for 13 years. He will now be responsible for all Tele Atlas production
and engineering activities.

acting rapidly to take advantage of emerging market conditions and new
opportunities,” comments Alain De Taeye.
Tele Atlas is the world leader in digital mapping. It has the largest digital map of
Europe - covering around 290 million inhabitants - and gives complete digital
map coverage of the United States, with 265 million inhabitants.
Tele Atlas has a substantial market share of the navigation CDs sold to European
end users and also significant and growing activities in business applications
such as location based services, telematics, fleet management, geo-marketing
and other geo-data applications.
Based in Gent, Belgium, Tele Atlas employs more than 1400 people in 15
countries, including the US.
