InfoTech and blue 8 forge crime busting alliance

Nottingham, England (30 October 2001), blue 8 technologies ltd (blue 8) and InfoTech Enterprises Europe Ltd (InfoTech) have signed a co-operation agreement to work together in the Crime and Disorder markets.

The Government is focusing heavily on the reduction of crime and antisocial behaviour as laid out in the 1998 Crime and Disorder Act. And, since both companies are well known within the Crime and Disorder markets - blue 8 for providing software applications and InfoTech for providing business consultancy and customised crime mapping training, this agreement allows the two to work together on these highly topical projects.

The agreement addresses how both companies can work together with selected clients on the provision of blue 8's software applications, project management, implementation, training, maintenance and support services in conjunction with InfoTech's business consulting and training services. Commenting on the importance of the agreement, blue 8's Sales Director, Ian Blackhurst, says, "At blue 8 we are committed to providing a crime and disorder solution - not just the technology and software. This agreement explores how best we can work together with InfoTech, which will ultimately benefit our joint clients."

Spencer Chainey, Head of Consultancy Services at InfoTech adds, "To maintain our position as the leading independent consulting and training organisation in the Crime and Disorder market, we see the need to understand and to be able to deliver services around blue 8 technology as essential. We are delighted to sign this agreement and very much look forward to working with both the company and its technology."

In practical terms the agreement will see blue 8 implementing it's software solutions whilst InfoTech will be carrying out it's training and consultancy with the users. Together this should ensure a best of breed solution for all those organisations currently using or planning to use blue8 technology
