Major New Features Generate Great Attention in Commercial and Academic
Markets
December 7, 2001 (Pembroke, NH) - DataCAD 10 was recently released by
DATACAD LLC in November. Since its release, the new version has generated a
great deal of attention in the commercial and academic markets. Tech Ed
Concepts, Inc. has continued to join forces with DataCAD LLC in the release
of the new version to the North American Academic market. TEC, Inc. is
currently working with author, Dr. Leonard O. Nasman in the production of a
DataCAD 10 Project Book for students that is expected to become available at
the beginning of the New Year, 2002.
Dr. Nasman stated, "DataCAD is an excellent way to introduce students to the
world of architectural CAD. Although this is the same software that
professionals are using to create large and large complex designs, the
interface is easy enough to learn that a new user can be producing useful
designs and working drawings within a couple of hours of sitting down with
DataCAD for the first time. The new shader and object viewer functions allow
users to get a quick 3D look at how their designs will appear. DataCAD has
been the price-performance leader in architectural CAD for many years, and
can help educators inspire their students and stimulate their interest in
the world of CAD."
DataCAD 10's significant new features will help users share drawing
information between other Windows® applications, work simultaneously with
other students, and save time. DataCAD has added the most requested
enhancements to the new product to provide users with productivity tools.
The new version includes highlights such as new power features to enhance
productivity, new layer manager with added support, an o2c Object Viewed 3D
visualization tool, Open GL® Shader enhancements that include shadow
casting, color mapping and more to name a few. A complete listing of
DataCAD 10's new features are accessible via www.TECedu.com/datacad.html
Richard Amarosa, President of Tech Ed Concepts, Inc. stated, "Instructors
and students will find that the release of DataCAD 10 supports architectural
curriculum better than any other software in the market. We provide
intuitive software that will enable students to connect with the design and
the application of their design process within the classroom. We look
forward to providing the academic market with the new release of this
product as well as the Project Book that will become available at the
beginning of the next year."
