MapInfo Announces Results of Annual
Shareholders' Meeting
TROY, N.Y., Feb. 27, 2001--MapInfo Corporation (Nasdaq: MAPS)
today announced that its shareholders have approved the matters considered at its Annual Meeting of
Shareholders held at 2:00PM today in Albany, New York.
Specifically, MapInfo shareholders approved an amendment to MapInfo's Certificate of
Incorporation that increases the number of authorized shares of common stock from 25 million to 50
million. The shareholders also approved the seven director nominees, a 450,000 increase in the
number of shares issuable under the Company's stock incentive plan, a 100,000 increase in the number
of shares issuable under the Company's director stock option plan, and the ratification of the
Company's independent accountants, PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
