VARGIS ANNOUNCES SPECIAL OFFER ON SPOT IMAGE USA STATEWIDE SELECT AND CITY SELECT
Herndon, VA., March 1, 2001 -- VARGIS announces a limited time, special offer on
SPOT Image Corporation’s premier SPOT USA Statewide Select and SPOT USA City
Select products.
SPOT USA Statewide Select is a seamless 10-meter resolution coverage at 1:24,000
scale of any of the lower 48 states. Each state is compiled from ortho-rectified
imagery, at SPOTView Level 3 specifications, from scenes dated no later than
1998. The product is available in either Panchromatic or colorized with LANDSAT-7
25-Meter true color bands. The imagery is cloud-free and delivered as 30’ quads
in UTM, NAD83 in GeoTIFF format.
SPOT USA City Select covers 110 major metro areas with the same quality imagery.
The edges of the City Select products are cut to match USGS 7.5’ quad boundaries
to provide buffers along the edge of the defined city areas.
These datasets are offered with flexible commercial, state and local government
licensing options. The options allow uses from full data sharing up to public
domain Internet access. Clients who purchase Statewide or City Select products
are also eligible for a special pre-launch price on 2.5 and 5 meter products from
SPOT 5, to be available in 2002.
From March 1 through June 1, 2001, VARGIS is offering an additional 12% discount
against SPOT’s already low list prices on SPOT USA Statewide Select and SPOT USA
City Select. Optional 30M DEM is also available for 10% of the discounted
imagery purchase price.
