THE SANBORN MAP COMPANY NAMES DIRECTOR OF GIS CONSULTING SERVICES


Pelham, NY- Pankaj R. Desai, CEO of The Sanborn Map Company, a geographic information systems (GIS) and photogrammetry industry leader, announced that Michael Stoogenke has been named director of GIS consulting services. In this new position, Stoogenke will be responsible for overseeing and expanding Sanborn’s GIS consulting offerings, which currently include needs assessments, implementation planning, database design, applications programming and technical support.

Stoogenke holds a master’s degree in forest resources management from State University of New York, College of Environmental Science and Forestry, Syracuse, New York, and a bachelor’s degree in both resource management and forest biology from the same university. He was corporate GIS manager for Sear Brown prior to joining Sanborn.

Desai remarked, “Since we opened our doors more than 130 years ago, Sanborn has been committed to providing quality products backed by superior service. As technology changes and our business grows, we are adding expertise and expanding our services to support that growth. Mike has over a decade of experience in the GIS industry.
