Anchorage, Alaska, USA, May 20, 2001 - DAT/EM Systems International, a developer of digital mapping software for compilation directly into AutoCAD and MicroStation, has expanded its sales force by hiring a new Sales Manager on the east coast and appointing a new Sales Manager at its home office.

Rhonda Lucas, formerly with EarthData International, has joined DAT/EM as a United States Sales Manager on the east coast. Prior to directing sales at EarthData, Ms. Lucas managed sales at Autometric Incorporated.

"Rhonda's background and personality fit perfectly with DAT/EM's goals," Rob Lecrone, DAT/EM's Marketing Manager stated. "Not only has she worked for one of our competitors, she has also worked for one of our clients. This puts her in the position of knowing both sides of the photogrammetric fence. With DAT/EM's development environment based on open communication between developer and client, Rhonda's friendly demeanor and knowledge will be an asset to both DAT/EM and our customers."

In addition to the hiring of Rhonda Lucas, DAT/EM has added a Sales Manager at its home office in Anchorage, Alaska. Chance Nygard, a hardware engineer at DAT/EM for the past two years, is now DAT/EM's primary Sales Manager. While Chance will still be performing duties as a hardware engineer, he will also be managing DAT/EM's extensive network of worldwide distributors.

DAT/EM Systems International is a leading developer of photogrammetric hardware and software products and services. DAT/EM specializes in 3D feature data collection software via its two digital stereoplotters, Summit Evolution and Summit PC as well as its Capture NT product for virtually any analytical or analogue stereoplotter. DAT/EM offers certified technicians to service and install analytical stereoplotters. The company's web site can be found at http://www.datem.com/.
