Preetha Pulusani Named President of Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions

    HUNTSVILLE, Ala., Nov. 26, 2001 - Intergraph Corporation announced today the appointment of Preetha Pulusani as president of Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions, effective immediately. She reports to James F. Taylor, Intergraph's chairman and CEO. Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions is one of Intergraph's five vertically focused units conducting business in over 60 countries, with annual revenues of about $130 million.

    Taylor said, "Preetha Pulusani is well respected in the mapping and GIS industry and her expertise and leadership skills will serve the division well. This appointment will complete the plan to consolidate our commercial and government mapping and GIS organizations into a single international vertical business within Intergraph."

    Pulusani said, "Our customers count on us to bring together a portfolio of products and services, partnerships, and expertise to help them get the maximum value from their mapping and GIS investments. Intergraph has a long tradition of technical excellence in mapping and GIS. I look forward to ensuring that we maintain that rich heritage of innovation and market leadership while broadening the way people think about and use geospatial data."

    Pulusani has been with Intergraph since 1981. She holds a bachelor's degree in accounting and a master's degree in computer science, and is actively involved in several professional organizations. Earlier this year, she was elected to serve on the board of directors of the Open GIS Consortium (OGC), an international industry consortium dedicated to open geodata and geoprocessing. Prior to being named president, Pulusani was executive vice president for Intergraph Mapping and GIS Solutions. In that role, her responsibilities included worldwide sales and marketing, Intergraph's flagship commercial product suites MGE and GeoMedia(r), and the new IntelliWhere(tm) division focused on location-based services.
