On August 16, 2001, the U.S. Senate Productivity and Quality Award
(SPQA) Program for Virginia announced Soza & Company, Ltd. (SOZA)
as a recipient of the SPQA Certificate for Commitment to Performance
Excellence. SOZA, a first-time applicant and winner, is being recognized
for its "notable progress in building sound processes."
SOZA's commitment to high-quality service and adherence to the
highest standards of ethical conduct has been repeatedly recognized by
clients, partners, and competitors alike. In addition to being chosen by
the SPQA as a recipient for this prestigious award, the firm's sound
processes are substantiated by its ISO 9002 certification.
Recipients of the SPQA for Virginia award, the longest running award
for performance excellence in the country, are selected by the SPQA
Board of Directors and Examiners based on a written application and
onsite visits, which demonstrate measurable quality and productivity
results. Selection criteria have become more stringent since the SPQA
adopted the Baldrige National Quality Program criteria.
Mr. William Soza, SOZA's founder, Chairman, and Chief Executive
Officer, will accept the award on behalf of SOZA at the Awards Banquet
on October 11, 2001, at the Richmond Marriott. Senator John Warner,
Senator George Allen, and Governor James Gilmore have been invited
to present awards.
Headquartered in Fairfax, Virginia, SOZA delivers information
technology, management consulting, and financial business solutions to
public- and private-sector clients worldwide. For 31 years, SOZA has
demonstrated its commitment to implementing effective management
principles and procedures. To learn more about SOZA, visit
