Technology in Government Week Brings Latest Information Technology For On-Line Government Services

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 17, 2001--Key3Media Group (NYSE: KME) announced today that Technology in Government Week 2001 will feature the latest information technology that will transform governments for on-line service delivery. GTEC, the exhibit feature of Technology in Government Week, will include 600 exhibits and demonstrations from Canada, the United States and abroad. With a theme of "Enabling E-Government: Stepping up to the Challenge," attendees will discover thousands of solutions to help them meet the challenge of e-government. Technology in Government Week will run October 15-18, 2001 at the Ottawa Congress Centre and Westin Hotel in Ottawa, Ontario.

Highlights of GTEC, October 16-17, include:

GTEC "Hot Spots"--This dedicated show floor feature will showcase the hottest solutions for e-government and public sector service delivery. Hot technologies on display will include GIS (geographic information systems) solutions, and wireless and mobile computing technologies. Exhibitors displaying GIS solutions will include AMEC, Korem, Onix and the Canadian space Agency. Wireless exhibitors will include Rogers AT&T, Nortel, Oracle, Viewsonic and Xwave.

E-Service Pavilion--This pavilion focuses on the solutions that will help program managers streamline and enhance electronic services to the wide range of citizens and clients of the public sector. Key solutions include e-commerce applications, e-security and CRM software and services.

Feature Government Showcases--In keeping with the Technology in Government Week vision to support online governments worldwide, this year's GTEC will focus on the successes of a featured country, province and municipality. Australia, the showcase country, will highlight how it has answered the challenges of delivering online services. As the showcase province, Prince Edward Island will feature how Canada's smallest province is stepping up to the challenge of being the smartest province. The showcase municipality, City of Ottawa, will feature how it is meeting the challenge of e-enabled client-centered service delivery.

Other GTEC 2001 floor features include "Made in Government" I.T. Solutions, a special vendor showcase for "Government On-Line" Managers, Internationl E-Government Pavilion, and GTEC Free Seminar Programs and Solutions Workshops.
