New server for ACRES Digital Catalogue

Jump to Website Here
ACRES is pleased to announce the public availability of our enhanced ACRES Digital Catalogue service. Although there is no change to the Digital Catalogue software itself - the look, feel and functionality are the same - the database has been migrated to a new hardware platform. Much faster, and with more disk capacity, this system has been specifically designed to support fast access and searching of very large databases.

ACRES satellite image database currently contains over 1 Million satellite scenes and is growing daily, indexing ACRES satellite archive from 1979 to the present.

The new service will be available from Monday 3 September 2001. Users are not required to make any changes to their normal access procedure to use the new service, but will notice significant improvement in response time, at least 3 to 5 times faster for searching the database.
