NovaLIS Technologies latest Parcel Editor release gives users new tools and fewer mouse clicks

Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada - Cool new tools, fewer mouse clicks for repetitive tasks, and improvements to Librarian make Parcel Editor 3.4.1 a must have for parcel mapping professionals.

"We've seen a great improvement in the overall quality and performance of the product with the release of Parcel Editor 3.4.1," says Larry Lawrence, Director of the Cartography Department for the Property Appraisals Office of Collier County. "We're very happy with the new workflow methods which meet the needs of our office."

New workflow methods translate into less repetition, fewer mouse clicks, and faster mapping updates. For example, the Librarian interface now remains static throughout multiple tile releases. This means users can now click through the steps for releasing a tile once, and then release multiple tiles without having to re-trace their steps. In addition, the Edit Annotation interface now allows the user to apply multiple edits at once, instead of having to apply edits one at a time.

Cool new editing tools also save users time and frustration. The Copy and Copy Many tools enable users to take an existing line or set of lines and copy it to another area of the map one or many times.

"Our goal is to continually refine Parcel Editor so that it continues to exceed the requirements of our users of today and tomorrow," says NovaLIS Director of Products Gina Funicelli.

With Parcel Editor 3.4.1, users now have a pan tool, making it easier to navigate when using the COGO spreadsheet. When working with the Query Builder function, users can further refine their search by querying on pseudo items. Workflow between GATE and Parcel Editor has also been enhanced with the introduction of a new trouble-shooting procedure.

Parcel Editor is a comprehensive desktop parcel maintenance tool based on ESRI's ArcInfo software
