Mapping Industry Sales Executive Brings 23 Years of Experience to Lead E-City Sales Force

SEATTLE, Apr 3, 2002 - E-City Software, Inc. (E-City) (OTCBB:ECTY) announced today that it had appointed computer mapping industry veteran Walt Wiley to the position of Executive Vice President, Sales.

Mr. Wiley brings to E-City Software twenty-three years of professional experience in sales, sales management, business development and project management related to mapping and Geographic and Information Systems (GIS) in the public and private sectors. He was formerly the Director of U.S. Sales for LizardTech, Inc., where he built and managed the professional sales team and distribution channel responsible for the sustained growth and expanded market penetration of the MrSID software product throughout the Americas. Under Walt's leadership, MrSID grew to become the defacto standard image compression product in the geospatial (computer mapping) industry. Revenue more than quadrupled during Walt's tenure at LizardTech, as clients such as the National Imagery Management Agency (NIMA), the United States Geological Survey (USGS), the U.S. Forest Service and others adopted the MrSID format in their workflow.

Prior to joining LizardTech, Mr. Wiley served as Business Development Executive for EarthDataInternational, a leading photogrammetric mapping and remote sensing firm. While at EarthData, Mr. Wiley participated in the planning and development of digital orthophotography and planimetric mapping projects for a variety of military and civilian clients including the U.S. Marine Corps, the U.S. Army, the Corps of Engineers and the National Park Service. Mr. Wiley gained significant remote sensing and GIS experience in positions at the EPA's Environmental Photographic Interpretation Center and the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation's Habitat Inventory Unit. A graduate of the State University of New York, he holds degrees in Geography and Environmental Science and is an ASPRS -- Certified Mapping Scientist (GIS/LIS).

CEO Anis Jessa continued, "Walt has extensive experience building sales organizations and has a track record of delivering explosive sales growth. His military and governmental computer mapping background and his specific experience in sales and managing sales organizations targeting both the municipal and military markets are an ideal combination for E-City. We are exceptionally pleased to have Walt as part of the team and feel that his intensity, drive and demonstrated ability to build an outstanding sales force will contribute significantly to E-City's growth and expansion."
