Interactive Projects Limited has been invited to join Orange and showcase their innovative new product TrakM8 on their stand at the Autosport exhibition in Birmingham, 10th to 13th January - stand 6365 - Hall 6.

Following our successful launch in November 2001, Interactive Projects are proud to offer TrakM8, the ultimate vehicle companion, at a special introductionary price to celebrate their first consumer based exhibition. TrakM8 brings together Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and mobile telephone text messaging (SMS). This gives the owner of a vehicle and other authorised mobile phone users the ability to communicate with the vehicle simply by using text messages. TrakM8 has a whole host of features that will appeal to many different types of user, from car enthusiasts to company car drivers, from caring parents to fleet managers. Text message based features include, where are you?; automatic journey reports; invisible 'security shield'; report if vehicle is being abused / has left its permitted area / has broken its curfew / is speeding or has its car alarm sounding; fastest 0 - 62; maximum speed attained and round trip report. TrakM8 also acts as a 'black box flight recorder' for journey analysis after accidents also in conjunction with a PDA or laptop PC TrakM8 is capable of providing in car Internet access or showing the location of your vehicle in real time on street level mapping.

Messages out from the vehicle can be paid for on a pay-as-you-go basis or on a monthly contract depending upon the user's requirements. Installation of TrakM8 can be as simple as plugging its power lead into a cigar lighter socket and positioning its 'tax disc' size antenna on the windscreen.
