The Imagination Celebration 2010 was a huge success.

On Saturday, March 13, 2010, the Friends of COSI hosted COSI’s sixth annual gala, Imagination Celebration 2010. Over 450 COSI supporters, community and business leaders, and Columbus professionals journeyed to the most exotic regions on the planet - Africa, East Asia, Polynesia and Latin America - all in one amazing and dynamic night to help raise over $224,000 to support COSI.
Thanks to traditional Moroccan drummers, Salsa dancers, and an Asian dragon procession, guests were transported multiple foreign lands but without the jet lag! Attendees enjoyed exotic cuisine, an endless bar of unusual beverages and the opportunity to bid in the city's best silent and live auctions, including a hot air balloon ride, dinner at Eddie Merlot's and a NASCAR experience.
Beyond the fun and entertainment of the evening, COSI's Imagination Celebration serves a much greater purpose; proceeds from the gala help COSI provide an exciting and informative atmosphere for those of all ages to grow, explore, question and connect to real science, real scientists, and the real potential to change the world.
