COSI Columbus Facts
COSI: Explore Science & Discover Fun!
Established in 1964, COSI has served over 18 million visitors within its walls and another 3 million through outreach education programs, such as the COSI On Wheels program, which takes interactive science programs and teacher in-service training to elementary and middle schools throughout Ohio and seven surrounding states. COSI features seven interactive Exhibition Areas, is home to a 7-story Extreme Screen Theater, the Science2GO! retail Shop, and Atomicafé restaurant.
A Pioneer in Education
COSI has been a respected, leading innovator in the science center industry since its inception. Camp-in, COSI on Wheels, and little kidspace® education programs are found in almost every science center around the nation today, but they all were pioneered by COSI Columbus.
Hours of Operation
COSI is open 10am – 5pm Wednesday – Saturday, and 12 – 6pm Sunday.
COSI is closed July 3rd & 4th, New Year’s Day, Easter, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day. However, COSI is open on the following Mondays: Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Presidents Day, Memorial Day, and Labor Day.

Admission Prices
A one-day VALUE Pass, which includes both featured films in the Extreme Screen Theater is $5.50 for Members; $17.50 for non-Member adults (13-59); $15.50 for non-Member seniors, and $12.50 for non-Member youths (2-12). Single exhibition tickets are: Adults $12.50; Seniors $10.50; Children $7.50; Members and children under 2 are FREE.
Attendance
COSI’s audience is primarily comprised of well-educated visitors with above average income levels from a wide geographic area, representing the entire state of Ohio and the surrounding region. Last year, COSI had visitors from every zip code in Columbus, every county in Ohio, and visitors from all 50 states! In total, COSI welcomed over 480,000 guests within the building last year and another 407,000 through outreach educational programs and services.
